Songwriters Mark Carson and Jawara Harris are the Chicago-area recipients of the 2003 Heineken Music Initiative/ASCAP Foundation R&B grant program. The pair received a $3,000 grant for their winning song "What Should I Do"

The Chicago Chapter will host A Look Inside The Gospel Music Business, an event featuring a panel discussion covering a variety of topics including marketing and promotion, artist development, and copyright and legal issues.
